Is there anything better than a blue shell in Mario Kart? Your friend is destroying you, you're in last plast. The race is hopeless, however mario kart is one of the few games that keeps you in the game when you are losing, you can still make an impact. You shoot a blue shell from 8th place which hits your mate on the finish line and he ends up finishing 5th! No better way to get some revenge. The blue shell has been in the mario kart series for decades too!

I think the coolest weapon in Cyberpunk 2077 is Skippy, the Gun.

I like the concept of the gun with 'personality'.

Check out the video to see it in action. Please note that the video contains violence and strong language - it's Cyberpunk 2077, after all!

Jill Valentine’s rail gun at the end of Resident Evil 3, as it makes easy work of nemesis after him coming back again and again throughout the plot of the game. A seemingly unbeatable monster, wiped out in 2 shots. It’s not without complication as the batteries need fixing between but it’s such a satisfying ending to a foe. Not to mention it looks so cool and is a prop that I’m determined to make one day for my Jill cosplay.

Rip and tear!

New 'Skull' Machinegun from the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages, which is a prequel to the 2016 Doom reboot and its 2020 sequel Eternal

Here is a video of the action.

I want an interview with a designer of that thing lol

For me it has to be all the cool power ups in Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc. Basically in the game, you can wear different outfits for a small period of time and they give you different power ups.

My favourite was the green one, it would give you a sort of tornado punch, it’s the first one you discover in the game and you can use it to defeat enemies and bring floating toadstools lower to make it accessible to jump on.

One of the coolest weapons for me has to be the Diamond Sword in Minecraft. This is because of the effort to get the best sword forged in the game and how low the spawn rate for diamonds were back in the early days of the game.

I used to be an avid Minecraft player back in my Uni days and getting your sword enchanted was also not easy to do.

The PRL 412 is weapon you can get when completing professional mode in Resident evil 4. I think this is very cheating weapon because it can defeat many enemies with just one hit and got unlimited ammo

One power up I always have fond memories of is the feather/cape from Super Mario World. For those who don’t know, the feather adorns Mario in a cape that then gives him the ability to fly! Beyond allowing you to explore previously unreachable areas, it’s also just really fun and satisfying to control. And for certain levels, it can help you bypass certain sections, ideal for speed runners. I found this cool video explaining how to make Mario fly for those who are curious or fancy a dose of nostalgia! 😊

My favourite powerups in any Final Fantasy are the summons. Already in the older games they looked so cool and their abilities could decimate even the hardest foes easily. Usually you get one of the smaller summons like Ifrit or Shiva fairly early in the game, while you have to wait longer for the big ones. My favourite is one of the big ones, who could say no to Bahamut? Sadly the videos pre FFX don't give him justice with today's graphics expectations, so here is one from FFX HD remaster casting his signature ability, Mega Flare:

And how it looks in FFVII Remake:

What's more fun than a sword? A cat-shooting sword. Sure it's a weapon that you can only get after beating the final boss, but i feel like you can't truly finish Terraria without getting the Meowmere. The 'fun' aspect of course is the rainbow cat projectile that it shoots while attacking.

O

The screamer cannon from ONI. I mean who wouldn't like a weapon that shoots entity's from another dimension into existents. Only for them to scream in agony, hunt down and kill your enemy's on your demand. Then vanish back into their world. Not to mention the screams and noises it makes are pretty haunting. The concept is so wacky i cant help put love it.

Kenny from High on Life

The first weapon that you get in on high on life.

What could me more cool than a living gun that talks to you and interacts with you as blast things with his slime and glob shot ability.

So for me during my destiny 2 time as a Titan, i had to use thundercrash. There wad just something about turning myself into a missile ata a target. With some boss battles it wad great when timed and combo'd with other class abilities for maximum damage ouput including sometimes for quick total kills. Othet times being a Titan was just fun to do, WEEEEEEEE, FALCON PUNCH

K

Basically i was the weapon ;)

Plus Cuirass of the Falling Star 😉I think that's still pretty meta, but I'm a Warlock main myself so wouldn't really know. Great to see a fellow Destiny 2 player on the platform!

DOOM is chaotic in all the best ways and the BFG 9000 is the perfect weapon to run through hordes of enemies, blasting them with those huge plasma balls. When surrounded by enemies, whipping this bad boy out can even the playing field and certainly adds to that badass feeling you get playing these games!

M

The Chaos Emeralds/Super Sonic from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is what I would consider the coolest weapon or powerup in any video game. The form makes you feel invincible through its powers of flight, super speed, energy blasts, negative energy negation, the list goes on. Collecting the Chaos Emeralds through each level makes it feel as though you as a player have earned this powerup, and you are rewarded with an epic final boss battle, as seen in games such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, Sonic Heros, Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Generations, and Sonic Frontiers. Also Super Sonic (Shadow, or Silver) is a Dragon Ball Z reference, which is a bonus.

Spin - Stumble Guys

I've been playing Stumble Guys alot lately and my favourite ability that I have unlocked is called Spin.

When activated you pull out a sword and do a 360 degree slashing attack that knocks back fellow stumblers. It is awesome on platform maps to eliminate the competition. It does leave you vulnerable for a second with your character becoming dizzy, so you have to take care or be at risk of a counterattack.

I love jumping in the middle of a cluster of players and activating it. Knocking out 5 competitors at once is OP.

I always enjoy powerups that give me more freedom of movement in games that at first glance don't offer that type of upgrade. Things like charge jumps and double jumps. But instead of going up, I for some reason really enjoy going down and being able to negate fall damage.

One game that does this even though vertical traversal isn't strictly necessary is Deus Ex HumanRevolution:

Icarus Landing System

It's an augmentation/upgrade that lets Adam Jensen jump down from any height and land safely - but it looks way more badass than a regular or even superhero-type landing. Suddenly, you have so much more freedom to run around the maps, explore and finish side missions. No more waiting for elevators - just jump off the roof.

If you wanted to, you could even knock out some enemies who happen to stand where you land. Death from above!

in the year 2000 I used to play my first online mmorpg game. the game was called "cabal online", well the game is still there and active but only available for NA or EU servers.

because the Indonesian and global Asian servers have been closed.

in this game there is a type of weapon called "mithril weapon" this weapon has various types there are katana, daikatana (big sword "blade, shield etc, the design is really cool for me because it carries the theme of the future of robotics and I like the color.

if you manage to achieve the weapon's enhancement to + 15 the weapon will emit bright light and a very cool blue aura.

the mithril weapon +0 :

on this image we have Great Sword , Blade, Arrow, and Katana.

and if you succes to enchant it to + 15 , it will make the weapon emit a blue aura and light

Oh Cabal, I tried this briefly after Lineage 2, as I really love the dual wielding of swords.

Wogh you playing cabal to huh?

Well dua blade is nice for dps

Not anymore, but played it for a while when it came out. Didn't know it was still running!

Back when I played Gears of War online, every match was “which team can get to the boom shot first.” Even standard death matches had this meta understanding that the boom shot, centrally located between team spawn points on the Gridlock map (best map if you ask most players), was the first step toward winning.

The thing was, you had to go about it tactically because there was a sniper spawn elsewhere which could make getting to the boom shot spicier. The weapon itself is just a grenade launcher essentially, but where and how it was placed in the map made it the star of the show.

As the games got more complicated and more special weapons were added, the boom shot lost the spotlight, but nostalgic players still love a good old fashioned Gridlock boom shot race.

I hated Gears online- it just ended up as either a roll about shottie fest or sniper paradise

When Sony rebooted GoW as a more cinematic and story driven game, a lot of people were wondering whether this was the same Kratos, whether it was a full on reboot with Norse mythology, and what of the epic PS2-PS3 trilogy that catapulted that angry god killer into gaming legends

S

I gotta say the coolest weapon from any video game is the Plasma Sword from halo. Halo was one of my first shooters growing up and Ive always loved the design of them. Another runner up for me would be the titans from titanfall.

hey SpiritW4tch you posted this as comment, not as bounty, system will not count this for a reward. I did the same so many times

The Ray Gun in all of the old school Call of Duty games with the upgrades you can choose to make the weapon stronger and attachments to kill all zombies within reach. I used to spend hours running that gun!
