This Christmas, my 5-year-old son received a chess set as a gift and just learned the game. While brainstorming this reward, he came up with the idea to recreate chess using café decor elements - so we did! And of course, we had to play a match right after.
After an hour, we ended up in this position, with my son playing White. He attempted a Scheveningen setup but misplayed the opening slightly, allowing me to gain central control. I have to admit, the game turned out to be pretty intense! And hilariously, since we used chairs as pawns, visitors kept randomly sitting on them—adding a whole new level of challenge! 😆♟️

I set up my Cafe thinking about some of the coffee shops I find in my city that I think are simply incredible. One in particular, which I like to go to a lot, has a decor that reminds me a lot of a doll's house and I wanted to bring a bit of that idea into my environment. I like the feeling that white brings to a room and the combination with the pink of the wall and some of the details brought that idea that I wanted, referring to something cute and delicate.

I really like the idea of a cozy atmosphere, now I realize that maybe I've gone a bit gothic haha. But I think the room was comfortable, which is what I really like about it, the contrast between black and purple (my favorite colors), some shades of white so as not to create an atmosphere of mourning and the wooden floor to bring back the idea of comfort. I hope you like it.

i like to use this color in real life, the combination of black & white is just good as casual look.
in the upper floor, i use white theme. there are 4 section area at upper floor, game section, pet section, reading section, and child section. They can play arcade games, reading books, play with critter and have a gossip session when their child is playing.
in the lower floor, i use black theme. In this floor, i decor it with basic cafe needs. They can have some coffee or eating food and talking to each other just like regular cafe.

Black was the chosen color, the dark decor creates an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. In the main hall, two specially designed photo areas provide the perfect backdrop for capturing special moments. For those seeking a quick experience, the counter with bar stools offers convenience without compromising flavor. Tables range from intimate options for couples to a larger one for groups, while a dedicated kids’ corner includes play areas with nearby seating for parents.
Upstairs, critter and cat lovers will find a themed space. Near the fireplace, a cozy heated area hosts the book club, ideal for chilly days, while individual armchairs offer solitude paired with excellent coffee. Every detail was carefully planned to deliver unique experiences tailored to different moments and preferences.
