Name: Modular Station

What I thought of creating is a central ark-shaped station made in a modular way so that each space has certain resources. Connected to the ark are energy panels and around macro areas connected but separated from each other. So externally everything is connected but each area works autonomously. The extreme part, where the various panels are connected, is the command area of ​​the ark from where everything can be managed.

My design started out with me wondering what could an equivalent to the James Webb Space Telescope look like in the Elite Dangerous future. It's not yet possible to travel between galaxies there so I figured that giant telescopes would still have their place in research. It could potentially be useful for studying Thargoids' past.

It's a 9 km long self-sustainable, self-propelled station that features a giant 2.8 km mirror made out of 61 hexagonal segments.

The station can support over 10 000 people but it usually has a smaller population consisting of maintenance, administration, research and support staff.

It has a habitat ring measuring 4 km in diameter and 180 m in width, producing around 1 g. Its upper level is used for food production and greenery while living quarters with transportation are situated in the lower levels of the ring.

One special feature is its concourse, which is situated right in the middle of the mirror, in its blind spot created by the sensor structure. It's protected by a glass dome measuring 200 m in diameter to allow for unobstructed view of space. You can find all the important services like Vista Genomics in the lower level, a bar on the 2nd level and more seating area on the 3rd.

One could find these stations basically anywhere in the galaxy. Often quite far from the Bubble. They can serve as safe havens for explorers. Quite a bit like DSSA carriers.

Hello Commanders

I'm terrible at designing hehe.. But I tried to make this station with Paint 3D.

I present to you this space station called “Hera” (goddess of the sky and stars)

It is a mix between Coriolis and Orbis type stations.

Inside it would be very similar to existing space stations. Even its size would be similar as well.

It would have a ring around it but not so separated from the station. In that ring there would be rooms like a command center, administration, and even rooms for accommodation.

The station would also have defense turrets.

The most important and outstanding feature is that, unlike other space stations, this space station would have a wide and round entrance (not rectangular like the ones currently there), which would make it much easier for ships to enter and exit without risk of colliding.

Inspired by the general design of advert station from the upcoming Trailblazers expansion, but expanded into a full-fledged major trading port. Notable for its capacity to dock 64 large, 64 medium, and 128 small ships, this station is intended to handle significant economic throughput.

here's an idea for a Guardian Space Station.

I started by thinking about stations in general -

then I thought about where I'd love to be in elite and the most aesthetically interesting stuff
I chose the Guardian stuff

I decided to base my Station on the Guardian aliens

I really like the Orb and the hybrid fighters that Ram Rah reverse engineered. I did a bit more thinking

I also have always longed to dive beneath the gases of the Giant Planets in Elite. I once read a great book by a well know science fiction author about the topic of being beneath the clouds and it's always inspired me.

I decided I needed more plans

I drew out my picture in chalk cause I'm not good at computer aided design. I really enjoyed the process of thinking about the way they might make a station

I love the idea of a Guardian-themed station! A station of this kind probably would add a lot to the game lore! And of course, congratulations on your drawings! They are really beautiful art!

I was brainstorming and decided to draw a polygonal station. The reason for this choice is that theoretically a geometrical polygon-shaped station could be developed in a modular-rule-coded way. What I mean is that with a set of rules, the dev team maybe could generate several variations from the same algorithm, but I'm just speculating.

Another feature I think may be cool, is to add more mailslot entrances to the station, but for this design I decided to keep the one mailslot version.

Since the last Thargoid attack that consecrated the last Human X Thargoid war. The security forces together with the Brewer Corporation, Aegis thought of creating an initiative so that the stations would stop being stationary and defenseless targets in space.

This station does not have centrifugation capabilities due to its military capabilities, so it was designed to be located at the lagrange points of each planet.


This new model comes with:

Central Control Center

It is capable of taking care of the entire defensive posture of the station, as well as pirate attacks and even larger threats.

Super Cannons

The best engineers were asked to create a cannon project for the defense of the station. This cannon has the power to eliminate/reduce the firepower of the titans.

Huge class cannons

The cannons are AX to deal with Thargoid threats that come close to the station.

Jumper Capacities

It is well known by Brewer, Aegis and their partners, as in the case of Jackson Station, that long jumps can cause the station to lose direction when traveling through the void, so the station makes an emergency jump to another point to save the hundreds of thousands of people on board.

I'm not that great at drawing, unless I look at something to get an idea of perspectives, so my station, The Rhombus, is inspired by the Orbis and Ocellus starports in Elite Dangerous!

What's different about this station is the little boxes at the top and bottom of both the front and back of the station. These mini docking ports are specially designed to help traders/truckers be able to quickly dock, grab their commodities, then leave again to continue trucking! Instead of pressing the usual Request Docking button, there is a second option for Request Quick Dock, which, once you dock at one of the mini docking bays, only enables you to access the Commodities menu (and repair/refuel), to buy what you need, then quickly leave!
Each mini docking bay has 2 large landing pads on one side, 4 medium landing pads (two on both the right and left sides of the mini dock), and 4 small landing pads (all on the top side of the mini dock).
Having these mini docks both at the front and rear end of the stations enables you to quickly dock no matter which side of the station you arrive when dropping out of supercruise!

Glorious Jarv

Glorious Jarv is a massive orbital habitat and trade hub. Stretching 14 kilometers in length, the station features three massive rotation rings, each with a 6.2 km radiu. Together, they provide full artificial gravity for residents and personnel through opposing rotational dynamics. The outer rings spin clockwise, while the central ring counter-rotates, creating a stable gyroscopic balance and evenly distributed centrifugal gravity.

Designed with advanced efficiency in mind, each of the rings features large supporting spokes that conceal high-speed elevators and all infrastructure systems, including power, life support, and engineering sectors. This layout maximizes usable space inside the rings, dedicating them almost entirely to habitation.

At the station's head lies the static spaceport hub, a spiked, gear-like structure (nicknamed the “Crown of Jarv”) that remains motionless relative to the rotation rings. Each spike functions as a multi-docking arm, accepting up to 60 large vessels simultaneously. Its static configuration makes navigation and docking safe, while still benefiting from localized gravity due to the proximity to the spinning habitat rings.

Glorious Jarv offering a safe harbor, refueling, full repair docks, and a trade district. The station also houses embassies, guild headquarters, and a full civilian population - making it a city among the stars.

Contraverse

This new station has a counter-rotating volume with the same dimensions as a core. From each of these volumes off-axis arms are supporting superimposed rings. The core is the volume that has the docking opening slot and from the counter-balancing volume we have protruding a spine with storage facilities and stabilizing vector trusters.

Gemini

This design has a monolith core with 2 lenticular habitat spaces that support 2 similar farm/garden rings with circulation tubes/spokes. In the space between the 2 lenticular volumes, a storage facility is arrayed in a way not to surpass the dimension of the habitat.

Meteora

This design uses 2 spherical cores connected by a container based storage area. The entire assembly is protected by a cage of antenna arrays and reinforcing scaffolding. The rotation is ensured by chaining together a series of smaller asteroids fitted with vector trusters for directional adjustments. Optionally, some of these asteroids can be carved and habitats installed within for radiation protection, in which case, a transportation tube will connect that asteroid with the core. These stations are installed in remote locations where minimizing the commodity transportations for building these monsters is a priority.

Lamela

This design offers all industrial activities with ample liniar space for production and assembly right around the core. The habitations are pushed away from the industrial noise in the outer limits of the main volume and 2 ring pieces are assuring the self sufficiency of the local population with a small food production. Opposite to the entrance, on the rotational axis, we have a storage area and a comm array with a vector trusters cluster.

Trianguli

This design is counting on its compact design and faceted volume to be a reputable fortress in orbit. Its shape allows the fitting of a diverse array of weapons and and increase visibility form all levels without impeding space-station sections obstruction the view.

Trianguli Duo

Another compact design, this station is actually 6 refineries in one. with a central depot for ore, the refinery is able to distribute multiple ore types in 6 locations corresponding to its corners, for an increased diversity in output and market choices. This is a gold-mine for colonists that are in search of a large palete of materials.

Hammer

This station is all about the view. Quite menacing with its 2 main "Mjolnir"-looking rotating volumes at quite a distance from a central core, the station allows for a flexible distribution of population. Its will be a guaranteed win for those large peace talks where separating 2 opposing views is a must before the core can mitigate and lead to a conclusion.
