With improved accessibility and quality-of-life features, Farming Simulator 25 will be the most beginner-friendly entry in the series yet. And yet we'd still like to do our bit in helping new players settle into these wonderful games which have, in the past, had a bit of a learning curve.
Please share one or more tips or tricks that you wish you knew when you first started playing the Farming Simulator games. Ideally your tip would be drawn from your experiences in FS25, but since it's only just released, you can extrapolate from FS22 (or earlier) as long as your advice will still apply in the new game.
Important note: you can submit in writing or video, but if you go for video, you'll need to first post it to a social media account that you've connected to your Just About profile, and then use the submit button to post it here. Here's how and why to do this.

I've compiled my Top 10 Tips for New Players:
understand the differences between new farmer, farm manager and start from scratch
choose a farming style and focus on that before diversifying
buy inputs from the store and warehouse to get started on productions, animals and more
lease equipment to test it out or to carry out tasks when you can't afford to buy
understand the menus and enable/disable features to suit your play style
use the required equipment by crop feature in the shop to help learn the equipment
take on contracts to learn about different farming practices
ues the NPC's, in game help and FS Academy on line to learn more
field flipping to make money
understand how mods work and use to your advantage
most important - play it your way, there is no right or wrong way to farm, whatever works for you!

My advice would be for your first investment in the game to be on land as opposed to getting bigger kit, or extra things that just make things for convenient. The more land you have, the more crop you can grow, and that will only increase your total earning potential each year. One you have your cash flow stable, then look to upgrade your initial machines.

Bigger is not better!
Having large tractors with wide width equipment is great. But why use them? A large tractor like a John Deere 9RX will set you back by half a million, a cultivator of that size will set you back by 200k. That is a massive dent in your finances for 2 items.
Buy small! You can get 5 tractors and 5 cultivators for that price that will be way more productive. You can upgrade in the future but don't put all your eggs in one basket. You'll be grinding contracts every year just to make ends-meet. Buy a 190hp tractor or two. Get all the equipment you need for a great yield. it may take longer in singleplayer to grow the crop. But you'll have extra capital to invest in productions or animals. Animals pay way more than productions too.
To feed cows for 1 year it will give you $288,000. To sell the bales needed will give you $88,000. Always think about farm animals in your growth too.

Don’t rush into things! Take your time with contracts, rent equipment, and try to use it across multiple contracts to maximize your profits. Learn gradually how to handle each job, crop, and production line in the game.
Making bread and cake demands similar but vary ingredients, so it’s a good idea to start by focusing on those, and make the recipes you find on the way to the real bakery, as these are quite complex to begin with. Relax and let your farm grow organically - don’t overuse fertilizers and other inputs for the sake of your customers.
Engage with the game as if you’re really living the farmer’s life - this makes the experience not only easier but also more enjoyable! A real farmer waits an entire year to see the fruits of their labor, so there’s no harm in being patient in the game too. Take in the beautiful views, learn about the different types of machinery, and let the process unfold naturally. Rushing through a virtual farming life defeats the purpose. If you find yourself focusing only on the money, pause for a moment and think about how meaningful the work you’re doing really is!
