I think it's time for something interesting, although I'm not really sure if something like this has been done before.

The Miners' Rebellion
For this challenge, you must create the largest possible fleet of PVP Ventures (you might even break a record) and take down as many targets as possible.
I think it would be very interesting to see how many players would be willing to participate in something like this. The great part is that it's a ship that almost 90% of players should be able to use.

To make it even more interesting, no other type of ship is allowed—only armed Ventures organized however you prefer. They can all be focused on damage, or you can divide them into logistics squadrons. In the end, the only limitation is the type of ship; the rest depends entirely on the players' imagination.

I think this could be a huge amount of fun, but my worry is our community right now isn't big enough to make it happen in a meaningful way. I've added this in our 'big idea list' with the hope of returning to it if we can entice more of the EVE community to sign up to Just

ROLEPLAYING!

Seriously. I have been playing EVE Online for almost 10 months now and the most enjoyable thing I have done is interact with other players in New Eden. Jumping into the role of Lurm the Slurm to see how others react to this character I have brought to life is my favourite thing at the moment. The game is, after all, about the players. EVE Online it is all about making those connections and, perhaps breaking them.

I'd love to see a reward focused on roleplaying - Perhaps your best interaction with another player in space? It could be your best quip or statement, your worst burn or veiled threat, the craziest role you have seen someone playing, or even just the funniest thing you have seen someone say. Anything related to that would be excellent!

- Lurm the Slurm

Thanks Lumin! I love these ideas - worst burn and veiled threat could be a lot of fun!

EVE Online is a great game that helps players build lasting memories, both online, and especially offline!

We've heard about these wild and crazy fanfests in Las Vegas, Australia, London, and especially Iceland for the annual Fanfest, but what's it like to actually go there? What's it like to sit in on the panels, hear the developers discuss the future of the game, see the crazy competitions and battles, and go bar-hopping or partying with fellow capsuleers that you've been flying with maybe for years?

One reward could be given out for an EVE "Offline" experience - tell us a story about an experience you had related to EVE that was offline, perhaps at a fanfest or fan gathering. Who did you meet? What did you do? What did you take away from it? Do you have any photos to share? Even better, do you have any cosplay or swag to share?

Let's immortalize some memories in the real world that enhance the experience in the virtual world!

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Great entry! We actually already ran a slightly different 'EVE offline' reward and a reward asking about Fanfest memories. We've got another lined up for later this month (I'll tag you in it when it's live) asking about how EVE has made players lives better outside the game. Yours is distinct enough that we can still run it, but we'll likely wait a couple of months. o7

Eve Online:

Film a short documentary on a solar system of your choice, as to why people should live there, film it in such a way like an estate agent trying to sell a house.

Books:

Show us your best sentence or paragraph from a book and why it is something you remember from that book.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

I like the travel documentary idea a lot, and I've added it to our calendar - stay tuned!

As for the books idea, best to share that in Books and Comics (if they don't have an active suggest-a-reward, I suggest making a discussion post asking the community what they think of the idea). If the idea proves popular, it might get launched.

S

Write a short lore story about something you do in-game. For example, a story about a miner who got captured by pirates and then rescued by a capsuleer (Silence Deep as Death, Level 3 security mission), or about a crewmember's memories about his service as an independent contractor who served on capsuleer ships and thus had many ships shot out from under him.

Would be interesting to see the stories people write. Might also add a little immersion for some people in-game.

S

I would love more frequent balance conversations particularly with regard to PVP. Perhaps pick a ship class like Combat Battlecruisers and allow players to provide their feedback regarding balance changes to each of the ships.

Name three things you learned in EVE Online and somehow managed to apply that knowledge to real life.

Maybe you fluently learned Mandarin and managed to use it during your vacation trip. Or your corp mate shared a cool trick on how to buy stuff online. Or you trained leadership skills as a fleet commander, which helped you get a career promotion.

K

Eve Story Time - every one loves to hear a good eve tale from the way back when.

As eve is a sandbox, the dynamic content it generates as you play it and interact with players is one of its biggest draws. When did eve last make you grip the edge of your seat to see if you made a jump before someone popped or pointed you? Did you make it back home with all that explo loot and what happened when you gated that dread instead of jumping?

Alex Sinclair's avatar

This came in while I was on holiday, but I just wanted to say thanks for the idea Kurai, we'll be sure to run it!

This is going to Eve Online but for Vanguard! I would love to see a contest for the best Vanguard kill/s whether through per luck, strategy, or trickery.

The submissions can be verified and judged and the rewards can be given out to the most shocking or funny video links!! Reactions on the submission and video likes or favorites on the platform it was shared from will also help (but not a requirement) to qualify submissions for rewards.

Here is an example from another game

Thanks for the idea DarkMoria. This was awarded while I was on leave, but I'm just running through these suggestions to see if any have been missed. We've actually run lots of these exact rewards during the Vanguard playtests of 2024. So we're unlikely to run them again super soon, but we will likely return to them!

• Eve Online is famous for its propaganda and I think JA could be doing more with this area, maybe ask members to share their favorite propaganda, or create new propaganda for something unusual - like their playstyle or activity (as an example). I've even created propaganda in the past for specific systems in Eve. I think we could get very creative with this concept.

• Write a piece of fiction that justifies your own play-style - so, for example, I'd have to write a fictional piece that sets the foundation for my pirate play-style and the justification of it. An interesting angle to approach a story.

I don't know if this was suggested before but a Reward about the Multiple factions in the game :

In EVE Online, the galaxy is dominated by four major factions, each representing distinct cultures and philosophies. The Amarr Empire, The Caldari State, The Gallente Federation and The Minmatar Republic.

the participants must chose a faction from the game and tell its history, specifications, ideologies, or main story .

Task : Tell us about the factions in eve online,

Format : Video or Text ( with images from the game )

In regards of the Dens

They have a 17k Storage, and nobody knows how long it takes to fill it after the 26.11.
(approx 2/3 of a month)

Time for the call of Loot Piñata on Dens?
Who can stockpile the largest amount until the first reaches 17k.
Which is 1.7k in m³ as Cargo

Vice Versa you have 30 days to kill the most amount of IE in a single DEN kill.

After the 26.11 these will have PVE Sites which will give us an reward.
If its kind of loot from the site we could ask for the most profitable drop within x days.

And last make a PVE Fitting &/ Guide for the new PVE Sites, going live on 26.11 for the Dens.
Keep in mind which also Development and Anarchy will be added.

We had the story about the most painful ship loss, maybe we could also have the story about the funniest moments? It would be a small written bounty, say 150-200 words, focussed on storytelling and just fun moments. Maybe have a relatively large number of low rewards such as 15*2$ and collect some of the great moments people had in their time of playing Eve. Of course, socially active pilots have more of these anecdotes, but solo pilots also encounter crazy things on their travels in New Eden. It would result in a threat of humorous stories and a good read for moment when you are down because you just lost your favourite ship.

Luka Zaharin's avatar

Looking back at this bounty, I'd like to add another idea if I may.

After recording footage of a star in Eve, I noticed how nice it could be to have a bounty focussing on stars. As a new player I collected screenshots of stars and I am quite sure I am no the only one who did / does so.

I think it would be great to have a challenge where you should take screenshots of 5 different stars. It would mean some traveling, some thoughts on aesthetics and overall it would show the beauty of Eve. It would be an un-tiered reward for verified pictures, maybe like the current Merc-Den screenshots.

I totally understand if this cannot be taken into account but I still wanted to share the idea :)

Eve Professions

I’ve had this topic in my backlog for a while now - a series of articles diving deep into the many professions EVE Online players choose. Whether it’s for fun, making a living, or other motivations, the options are vast: miners, traders, gankers, mission runners, fleet commanders, soldiers, and more.

Why not kick it off with a reward? The challenge would be to explain your favorite profession in EVE. Share the concept behind it, the essential skills, ships, modules, and investments needed. Include some pro tips, do’s and don’ts, and the pros and cons of the profession. And, of course, tell us why you chose it in the first place!

It should have reasonable, non-tiered rewards (to motivate people to talk about vast professions, not just 'wow'-ones to impress and grab #1 place), and something between 600 and 1000 words.

E

Addition of new ammo types for weapon systems currently in the game to give players more choices to use and increase tactical possibilities in the ever changing pvp oriented atmosphere in the game.

Examples of new ammunitions Or drones:

Triglavian drones, missiles that deal damage based on distance, target painting projectile cartridges, self adjusting frequency crystals(changing range according based on distance per cycle, like reactive armor), chaff equipped hybrid turret charges(reducing the targets signature radius, as a support weapon), missile launching drones that deal damage based on missile mechanics, unguided missiles that deal damage based on turret mechanics and other ideas that come to mind.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Cool topic Ecologia! But what would the challenge be for your fellow community members? To design a creative new ammunition type and explain how it would work?

F

An idea for a reward system in EVE Online could be a Historical Relic System, a mechanism that rewards players with unique items, skins, or bonuses tied to significant moments in the history of New Eden.

For example, by completing missions or objectives related to iconic events, such as major battles or galactic discoveries, players could earn commemorative relics. These items might include exclusive ship skins, special modules with unique bonuses, or purely aesthetic and collectible items, such as digital monuments for their base or a personalized history display visible to other players.

Additionally, the system could incentivize active participation in live events organized by CCP, with evolving rewards that serve as tangible reminders of personal achievements and collective history in EVE. This type of reward would not only celebrate individual success but also strengthen the connection between players and the game’s universe, making everyone feel like a part of something greater.

DU

What I would like to see is an exploration-related reward that encourages players to engage more deeply in this gameplay mode compared to others. A special reward could be given to those who manage to discover new things—something like a relic or an ancient artifact that not only provides ISK when sold but also grants unique ship bonuses, such as temporary upgrades.

Project Discovery

Put a timer on project Discovery . The fester u complete the level more rewarding is it. Replace Ships blue paint to already contacted ships. and skin to New Eden store ship skins.

Bounty: Relic Hunters

I believe that a bounty involving challenges is very interesting, adding an extra quest to the game, and taking advantage of the great aspect of Relic Sites I believe that a bounty could boost exploration even more. Knowing that we have 5 types of sites and data is also categorized into 5 different levels, I'd like to see how far our community can go by carrying out a bounty in which we're looking for the biggest loot possible. Submissions can be made by video or screenshots, but video submissions will take priority, chronicling the journey and difficulty to the loot obsession.
