They enter your system with a wink and a smirk,
they promise of a doom you cannot hope to shirk.

Their words are so sweet, ostensibly warm,
the space is soon filled, you are no longer forlorn.

A web and and a scamble, there can now be no doubt,
then your ship is on fire, and the engines are out.

This isn't the end, but you can see it from here,
With your vessel now gone, a message draws near.

You were my first," they purr with delight,
then cackle aloud as they fade from your sight.

But why does it hurt so, why does it burn?
Oh, a simple thing, your heart is now Slurm.

Whilst it's absolutely not a problem for me, but for others who are not blue tick holders adhering to word limits is going to be problematic due to character limits on standard accounts if linking submissions via socials is going to be a requirement from now on. How are you going to work around twitter limitations? Perhaps allowing a 50/50 split, the first part on twitter and the full content in the post? Or are word requirement based rewards not going to require social linking? Sorry if I'm dumb and missed something obvious!

Granted this reward probably isn't the best example of this because poems can be of any length, but we won't tend to run this approach for longer text submissions. I can't, for example, imagine us asking people to verify text guides via socials. But for slightly longer text rewards that we would like to be shared on socials, there are a few potential workarounds for social media platforms with character limits, like making a tweet-thread or turning the text into an image. Although if we did ask for that as a requirement, we'd likely offer higher prizes to compensate the extra effort. Thanks for updating your submission! o7

It's okay, I'm just one lone voice and I don't matter in the big picture. You're a business and the business lives on social media.

I've been trying to remove my presence from many social media in the last few months, starting with twitter due to their political and societal stances. I'll think if it's worth opening an account somewhere since I don't participate anyway in most communities, I don't do video, I'm not a streamer and really there is little I can add on average. And with all the AI around being sold as the new masterpieces with 0 effort, 0 creativity, 0 everything aside from 100% copying, I can't but doubt how worth is the effort.

Hi Irenkovsk, I'm afraid we've had to reject this entry because Just is currently an English-language-only platform. We do hope to support more languages in the future, but for now any non-English language submissions will have to be translated, because we have to make qualitative judgments as an English-language team. We do occasionally make exceptions for video entries, but only if they have well-translated subtitles (generally, auto-translated subtitles aren't good enough). Thank you for entering anyway!
