When discussing economics and resource management, especially when phrases like “as much money and as efficiently as possible” come into play - you can’t ignore modeling.

This is where Excel spreadsheets become essential. Fortunately, a pre-made calculator exists (credit to r/MrSNoopy1611), who created and shared a production profit calculator.

Main thread link

Be sure to check the spreadsheet’s multiple tabs, as each one covers a different type of production.

What particularly caught my attention is Greenhouses, which require minimal maintenance thanks to the auto-sell function. However, there’s a catch - not all greenhouse products are equally profitable. I put together a small chart to highlight the difference in monthly profits per large greenhouse on hard mode, assuming you buy water refills.

The price gap is significant if you plan to sell raw products, with lettuce being as the clear leader in profitability.

By manually refilling water, you can push profits up to €4,500 per greenhouse per month, roughly a 22% increase. This means a break-even point in just 8 months for a large greenhouse. To maximize profits, consider building your greenhouses near a natural water source or a public water tower.

This setup is scalable, easy to manage, requires a reasonable investment, and offers steady income with little to no maintenance.

I was about to skip this reward since my approach to FS25 is more about roleplay than efficiency - I’d rather spend the day with my cows in the field than fine-tuning production lines and crunching spreadsheets.

But then I came across Sturmer suggestion to use Greenhouses and simply sell raw products.

That got me curious, so I started digging deeper and found an even more automated way to boost profits. Turns out, you can fill the water tank for free from a flooded rice field! just tested and it works! check my setup

There’s also an addon for automatic watering, which makes sense - after all, even my tiny garden has pipes to deliver water exactly where it’s needed.

So here is my recommendation:

  1. Large greenhouse

  1. Rice field

  1. Barrel

  1. Lettuce production

The profits from fs25 can't be analyzed in a simple and straightforward way, I like to work out a quick but smaller profit over the long term. The more organized you are, the better!

Greenhouses

I consider greenhouses to be a quick way to generate money, as they combine good consistency. Get a tank car with automatic refueling and a lot of your stress will go away, as you'll be able to focus on other activities.

Animals

It all starts with cows, you can profit from milk and dairy products (we've already done a guide on selling cheese here on Just About). Here I think it's an activity that will require more of your attention. I like the idea of raising buffalo, but it requires more care from the player, it's a complex but rewarding activity.

Farming

At first, I'm thinking of rice, soybeans and corn. Of these three, I think rice is too complicated for you to think about initially, but it brings great benefits. Soy is the best starter, in my opinion, you have a short growing cycle and a good sale value, as well as low maintenance, which I think is the best option for this topic. Corn is directly linked to silage, allowing you to sell it for biogas, it's very interesting, I recommend it.

S

there are various ways to make money quickly in the game.

first you need to buy a piece of land that is suitable for cultivation, and it is possible to grow different types of crops

Soybeans that are worth $2300

spinach that are worth $620

Cotton that is worth $3200

these three types of products can be sold to make a profit but it is also possible to sell cow meat to make some extra money because if you have all the buildings and resources to build the various fences etc., it is also necessary to have bales of hay that can be sold or given to the cows as feed.

to start the initial land must not be too large but even medium sized can be fine, plant one of the 3 types of resources described above to earn money and subsequently expanding by also selling cow meat and other types of vegetables that the game allows you to plant.

The best way to make money fast is to plant oat crop that takes only 4 months to grow.

Solar panels are a good way to have for all the cost that the farm has

Sheep are easy to start with, you only need their building, mower, a forage wagon, a flatbed, and one tractor, and you're making good money

Greenhouse is a cheap way to make, only need water for I,t and a flatbed, and a water tanker

I'm not that experienced in the game, but once I learned how to play, I was able to understand useful ways to make money faster in the game! I think it's all about knowing where to spend without having to wait so long to get your money back. One way that I first discovered when playing the game and which I still think is one of the best is to invest in greenhouses, especially growing products with higher yields such as lettuce (usually my first choice) because they produce continuously and guarantee a steady income. To do this, you need to invest in a water cart with automatic refilling and vending functions (everything in the game is about automation), so you can dedicate yourself to other activities and have a higher income! A good thing about the game is that you can start with the first million and sell off unneeded buildings so that you have a lot of money to invest.

In addition to the greenhouses, I think that raising animals is also one of the best ways to make a profit, and my favorite is the cow. With a large herd you can make a profit on several fronts, such as selling milk, creating dairy products (cheese, for example) and selling the animals themselves. Sheep are also a great option (I don't have much experience with this one, but I've seen some friends say it's just as good) because you can also make a profit from selling wool and producing clothes.

Therefore, choose only one way of making a profit when you start the game. Spreading out your investments will bring you several low returns, which will make it difficult for you to progress. Use your money wisely and your profits will rise quickly!

Making money in Farming Simulator 25 is definitely the first concern of the player, especially the new ones, also because without money, nothing is done, and making money in the game is not difficult, however there is some activities that could make more money pocket than normal.

The first advice is to raise buffaloes, also because the buffalo meat is very expensive, but obviously they cannot be raised buffaloes without a decent pasture, it is a very complex activity but which brings great benefits.

The second advice is to cultivate rice. Also in this case it is a far from simple operation, also because rice requires specific conditions, however it brings great benefits. To cultivate the raiss, you will not need great equipment, in terms of costs and the gain is insured.

The third thing you can consider is deforestation, allows you to earn money by breaking down the trees and selling the wood. The great advantage is that the wood does not deteriorate over time, so you have all the time to sell it to the best bidder.

A farmer is not such if he does not sell his proceeds, or rather collected. Obviously also in this case you can sell it to the best bidder, but unlike the wood the harvest deteriorates over time.

Finally, selling products based on the request on the market. We must cultivate what allows you to earn the most.

E

Just produce the lettuce in greenhouses but remember about 2 things:

-trick with auto refilling water cart so you don't have to mannualy riding around with your tractor

-enabling auto sell so you don't have to mannually load the palets which is time consuming , not time efficient and for me it feels like a nightmare! The difference in the price is too low to be worth it.

As a new player in the Farming Simulator franchise, figuring out the best ways to make money can be challenging. Here are the quickest methods I've discovered:

1️⃣ Sell Unneeded Buildings – If there are structures on your farm that you don’t need, sell them! This provides an instant cash boost to help you get started.

2️⃣ Invest in Greenhouses – Placing a large greenhouse (or more as funds allow) is a great way to generate consistent income. Once set up, they will produce crops every few in-game months, keeping money flowing.

3️⃣ Buy Solar Panels – Even if you can only afford one at first, invest in solar panels whenever possible. Over time, especially in summer, they can generate £500,000 or more!

These strategies will help you build your farm’s income quickly and efficiently. Happy farming! 🚜💰

I'm new to the game, but I found that soybean farming is a good way to make money. At least for me, who's just starting out, soybeans are paying off well.

Why do I say this?

1. Soybeans have one of the highest selling prices

2. Soybeans have a relatively short growing cycle (3 months)

3. They are very cheap to grow (no expensive equipment needed to plant and harvest)

4. They require no maintenance

As a new player, growing and harvesting soybeans is very profitable.

Hey USCSS, thanks for this, but for this reward we're looking for more in-depth tips. Please double-check the description and add some more detail/guidance to your answer. Thanks!

Thanks for pointing that out. I've edited my post to explain a bit more why soy is profitable for me.

The best money comes from layering strategies. Grapes and olives are high-maintenance but insanely profitable, especially when processed into juice or oil and sold in winter. Silage bales remain a steady moneymaker—grass is easy, and wrapped silage sells fast.

Sugar beet and potatoes shine if routed through production chains like sugar or starch, turning low-value harvests into high-profit products. Early on, contracts are great for cash flow, but once your farm grows, production chains outpace them.

For passive income, wind turbines and solar panels pay off long-term. Mix in high-profit crops, greenhouses (mushrooms are top-tier), and smart market timing. Diversify and reinvest wisely, and you’ll rake in cash efficiently!

Excellent overview - 'layering strategies' as opposed to all eggs in one basket makes a ton of sense

My plan to get a reasonable amount of money as quickly as possible is:

First, look at which meadows there are on the map, then see if they are freely available, otherwise maybe turn a field into a meadow or sow clover or alfalfa. Then mow and put it in a fermenter silo. For this I have a special mod that can process grass, clover, alfalfa, hay, straw and wood chips into silage.

There is also a mod that allows you to harvest straw from missions. This way you get a lot of material. And if the price is right, everything is sold.

E

One of the quickest ways to make money is to buy land sow corn and make lots of silage, which I then sell to biogas. Another way that I often use is greenhouses or animals such as sheep or cows, although it would be better to have more than 100 cows if you want to earn a lot. With sheep the best thing in my opinion is the clothes even if they need to do 2 processes, that is, first the fabrics and then you can make the clothes. With cows, I often aim for the direct sale of milk but products such as dairy products and cheeses also always make money. I also do a lot of greenhouses because they require little maintenance and make a lot of products.

F

For me one of the fastest ways to get money is the following:

We buy several fields, and in those fields we plant grass, we do the whole process to get 100% yield.

Once that is done, we will pack and tape it, and we will sell it in one of the most expensive points on the map.

My second way is:

With the grass from the fields we will feed sheep, which will give us wool, which we will put in the thread factory. which will give us pallets of thread. Once we have the thread we will put it in the clothing factory, in it we will generate clothing and we will sell it at its highest point at 10k. which is very profitable.

and those are my 2 ways to make money in FS25

DU

There are several ways to make money, and of course, the more effort and maintenance you put in, the better the returns. I think wheat farming generates good profits, but it's important to see it as a long-term gain. It may not give immediate results, but with patience, a satisfying profit can be made. Also, a mix of crops can yield good results at alternating times. Definitely, you shouldn't focus on just one thing if you want to maximize profits.

From what little I have seen, for now I am focusing a lot on balanced cultivation. In the sense of having more land in production at any time regardless of the season (having products for one season and products for another). Surely there will be other methods to get rich, but I am focusing a lot on cultivation and understanding when it is time to sell to collect the best profit.

One way that helped me earn money more quickly at the beginning was by selling some items that I had extra of, such as vehicles and decorative properties (always thinking about things that I won't be able to use or don't plan to use).

Investing in solar panels and generators is also an excellent source of passive income, because they pay for themselves over time and can still provide a profit in the long term, especially if you manage to combine them with a good harvest.

Concluding contracts is also a good alternative, although they are a bit boring, you can complete them quickly and earn some money at the start.

I believe that in principle the most viable way to make money in fs25 is through agriculture. A good tip is, when you buy new fields, try to buy ones that are already ready for harvesting, so you don't have to spend money on seeds or time planting, and it's a quick way to earn income.

I really enjoyed growing soybeans. It is planted between April and May, takes around 6 months to mature and is harvested between October and November. What's more, it doesn't need as much maintenance and you can sell it directly or even increase profits through production chains. I know that it takes a little longer to grow and that it also needs more seeds than other crops, but given the high demand it always has, the profit potential is also very good and makes it worthwhile.

Cutting grass and producing silage can be a good way to make money in Farming Simulator 25. Note that silage bales can be more valuable than standard hay bales and provide livestock feed that is also richer in nutrients. Additionally, grass regrows up to three times a year, providing a more consistent source of income for farmers.

The only obstacle to achieving this solution is the $200,000 needed to purchase the farming equipment needed to produce and harvest the grass, specifically the mower, baler and baler. However, when thinking in terms of future investment, the benefits outweigh the costs when producing silage bales, especially in the long run.

Want to be The King/Queen Of honey makers here is the most efficient and optimized strategy so you can in a short and also medium and long-term sustain your little abode you call your home :

1.Honey Price through the year :

when you start your journey into the world of bees you will notice that are 2 months important for your little friends : Marsh and September. the first is where they shine the best and it is the optimal period to sell at high price, and the second is were you need respect the bee tradition and let them keep their life liquid or store it for next year ( honey can survive the winter ).

2.Setup and Costs :

3 types of beehive are available in the game small ( cheap but low production ) Medium ( Moderate production but more expensive ) Large ( approximatively 20K $ cost but gives High production )
the strategies are many but the best is to build from small like 5 small and then upgrade when you hit the green numbers so you make your money back and more.

3.Storage and Selling Strategy :

Hold the honey of Sep-Oct-Nov-Dec-Jan, you will lose money if you do. use Pallet storage near the production site to store, and if you are desperate for money after a storm or some gambling session, sell at Feb-marsh. for Jun-Jul and Aug you should avoid at all cost selling.

Ps: Respect Your bees, they make you king !

To keep a great amount of money flowing constantly in my account I always choose at least one crop that make money easy and there are three options that I always choose, the first twos are canola and soybean, they are simple to produce, and doesn't need a production chain that requires more time, and you can make them at the begging of the game. The last one is cotton, a little expansive but has good returns, and I'm using them by now to always keep me always from bankruptcy.

As I said as well there are productions chains, that demands more time but take longer to get ready, but there are ones like bread that needs few process, the grain mill and bakery, and this one of the things that help me to get extra money over the time.

The rest of the crops I do more for fun since I can't make so much money from it at least at the moment.

To maximize money efficiently in Farming Simulator 25:

- Crop Choice: Focus on high-profit crops like spinach, soybeans, and rice. Spinach can be double-harvested every three months, soybeans have low maintenance, and rice, though complex, yields high profits.

- Contracts: Complete high-paying contracts like fertilizing or harvesting. Use borrowed equipment for early game to save on costs.

- Field Flipping: Buy fields ready to harvest, sell the crop, then sell the field for a profit.

- Silage Production: Mowing grass for silage is lucrative. It's repeatable, offers good profit, and can be done year-round.

- Passive Income: Invest in generators for electricity sales, or greenhouses for continuous crop production.

- Sell Unused Assets: Liquidate unnecessary vehicles, buildings, or even animals early on for quick cash.

- Loans: Use loans strategically; the interest rates are low, providing capital for expansion without immediate financial strain.

- Forestry: Convert wood into chips for better profit than selling logs directly.
