For me one of the greatest achievements is success of the the largest Fuel Rats rescue mission, continuing their topic, called Beyond the Dark Edge. I have learned first about Elite when one of the YouTube channels made a video completely focused on Fuel Rats and their rescue mission and thanks to that video I got really interested into Elite Dangerous for the first time.

Beyond the Dark Edge was a rescue mission that took over a month to complete. It all started with Cmdr. Persera trying to break the record of travelling the furthest distance from Sol ever. But she miscalculated the fuel reserves and didn't had enough fuel to go back to the nearest system. So the Fuel Rats were called and... they agreed to help.

The operation was successful and just the fact that the Fuel Rats members decided to spend hours each day for over a month just to rescue Cmdr. Persera shows how great this community really is ❤️

I think one of the greatest things that Elite Dangerous Commanders have done is share their knowledge about the various activities you can do in the galaxy. I have always been impressed by the detailed tutorials on how to farm engineering materials, where to find stuff, how to farm guardian sites, and how to grind federal and empire ranks.

I'm an old player, so some examples can be a little outdated. But they have helped me a lot. A long time ago, I did the grind for Federation and Empire ranks. I was grinding Fed ranks in Sothis/Ceos until I found this guy channel named Down to Earth Astronomy and became impressed about the easier ways to grind rank in other systems.

Sothis/Ceos was a good strategy, but sometimes the courier deliveries would send you to the far Sothis station. So I was really impressed about their strategy at the time.

Thanks to his knowledge, I was able to finish my grind into the Corvette and the Cutter easily. But as a DiamondBack pilot, I never used the Corvette or the Cutter so much 😅😅

And after, I went into Guardian farming for FSD boosters and weapon blueprints. I have tried to do it on my own, but I couldn't understand what to do on those guardian sites. Again, their guides where really detailed.

It is crystal clear to me that without people like this guy and others, maybe some of the Elite Dangerous players could not have reached so far. I mean, sometimes things about the game are not so clear, and having people to explain with such level of detail is really impressive.

Even Frontier may be happy that there are people doing what they do so others can enjoy the game with ease.

Thanks Doc, could you give us a few examples to bolster your entry? o7

Doc's avatar

Sure. I have added examples and explained why I think this is impressive.

Ok, I feel I talk too much about myself in some submissions.
I started Streeming Elite dangerous in 2016 in Spanish, there were no guides, no tutorials no info at all.
Well, and you all know people say Elite has a hard learning curve.
I played more than 26k hours in streaming answering questions, helping people and did, and well I keep doing, more than 300 tutorials in Spanish.
Mechanics, ship builds, test, configs, anything people ask me I try to turn it in a friendly tutorial to make the game accessible to a lot of different people.
Fly safe if you can o7

You deserve it. 300+ tutorials are a lot done for the community. Congratulations Commander!

Deep Space Support Array (DSSA)

A network of Deep Space Fleet Carriers at your service!

The DSSA is a project to deploy a network of support Carriers all over the galaxy to help explorers in their deep space travels.

Currently there are about 100 individual or organisational carriers offering repair services, Universal Cartographics, refuel, shipyard, Vista Genomic, tritium, etc.

We need to be aware of what this means; dozens of Commanders supporting thousands of explorer players by selflessly lending their Fleet Carriers 24x7 just to help others and create lore and gameplay in Elite Dangerous.

Without a doubt these community initiatives are what make this game truly great.

Hello Commanders

For me one of the greatest achievements that the players have achieved is the creation of the Inara site.

For those of you who don't know, Inara is an essential platform for Elite Dangerous commanders, offering a wide range of tools and resources to make the lives of players easier.

Inara is not an official product of Frontier Developments. It is a platform created and maintained by players for players, which shows the incredible level of dedication and passion of the community.

Whenever I open the game, I also open the Inara site because it makes in-game tasks easier (locating a certain station or planet or system or commander, where to buy a certain product or module or ship, etc.) and it also keeps the community informed with the latest news and updates in the game, ensuring that everyone is up to date with important developments and changes.

I think it is a great achievement that the players have made this site.

Greetings pilots

Even though I'm a bit of an newcomer , I was able to catch one impressive event, namely the battle for the solar system.

To me this is the most impressive event in recent times, because on the evacuation, as well as the repulsion of the solar system joined a lot of pilots, both newcomers and old timers, there were even those who decided to return from wandering to distant worlds for the sake of such an event, each of the pilots contributed to the defense of the cradle of humanity. Preventing defeat by the Targoids and leaving their mark on history.

For me it has to be the search for the Lost Green Gas giant of Kelly Eldridge.

On May 23, 3301, CMDR Kelly Eldridge, who had been exploring deep in the black, took the following photo of what she described as "the strangest gas giant I've seen so far.".

Unfortunately they didnt record the location and it had never been relocated. Until seven years later the IEA Independent Explorers Association launched an expedition to locate it drawing in a large number of commanders armed only with a screenshot and some clues in the form of forum posts found using the wayback machine.

With a vague idea of location spanning many thousands of light years the commanders myself included tried to home in on the location by orioenting the stars to match the only surviving image which fortunately included the magellanic clouds

7 years after the initial discovery cmdr Orange! Found it after a month lonng search.

It's rather the most recent major event with I think atleast 2/3 of players taking part in, the Battle of Sol which started with the appearance of the titan Cocijo in the system and lasted a week and ended with the defeat of the Thargoids. Players very quickly began to recover lost systems around Sol, and despite difficult times, the final bombardment of the Titan began. Currently, only its remains can be found, no different from the rest.
