Is it almost Valentine's Day? Uh, no, it isn't... but that doesn't stop Cupid, the god of love, from making his way into SMITE 2 in the latest update. Cupid is the son of Venus and Mars (if you're Roman), or Aphrodite and Ares (if you're Greek), and he's a little boy with wings, equipped with a love-inducing bow-and-arrow.
If you're familiar with Cupid, this is your chance to teach us how to play him! Create a guide covering his abilities, best builds, roles, playstyles, items, tips, tricks, strategies, and more. The more comprehensive and useful your guide is, the higher your chance of a reward!

Cupid is a versatile character, usable solo, thanks to the ability to both inflict damage on the opposing team and heal his teammates. I can place Cupid among the supporting characters.
His passive skill Lovestruck allows him to increase damage, while once the bar is full he can heal his teammates. The Heart Bomb, Share the Love and Fields of Love abilities are capable of destroying opponents and healing allies at the same time.
Excellent character both for those who want to dedicate themselves to attack and for those who prefer defense. Unfortunately, however, he is not an invincible character and has significant weaknesses, such as his weakness if out of position. Even though he can inflict huge damage, he is not comparable to other deities, especially in the advanced stages of the game, being a hybrid character.
His mobility is very low, however his passive skills are quite effective. By upgrading Cupid you can get more damage and healing. Cupid is quick to attack and can accumulate Heart Stacks. Fun to play and effective for players who like to be independent. He is a powerful threat when his attacks are charged, he can stun opponents and heal the team at the same time.
Of course, don't expect to do burst damage but he is still an excellent character for those who like to contribute to the game at 360 degrees.
Cupid is a ranged physical carry specializing in crowd control, team utility, and consistent damage. His abilities focus on applying heart-themed effects to slow enemies, heal allies, and deliver powerful burst damage.

Kiting: Flutter provides excellent mobility for chasing or escaping.

Tips for Success
Use Heart Bomb strategically to engage or peel enemies.
Drop Share the Love in the backline during team fights for allies to heal while attacking.
Place Fields of Love in chokepoints to zone enemies or secure objectives.
Always manage your Lovestruck stacks for maximum impact during engagements.
It is extremely strange to see the cupid been a damage focused god, and a great one.
For the cupid I normally use a hybrid build, normally the auto build one, since it has itens that will increase both Strength and Intelligence, while increasing the attack speed, what is extremely useful for his passive! But remember you can focus on STR or INT builds, you can plan with the team the best option for each situation.
To start to understanding the Cupid we must start the auto attack and his passive, Lovestruck, the auto attack will stack hearts up to 14, and this hearts will be used to increase the power of the other skills, so this justify the fast attack in the build. The auto attack are arrows with a good range and decent damage but it counterpoint you have low health and low defence so be careful and always choose to maintain distance and use your skill wisely.
The Heartbomb his first skill will fire an arrow at the enemy, it will cause damage, it will slow the enemy and after a few seconds will explode dealing more damage, it has a good range and the only thing you need to really worry is you aim.
Share of Love is a little more complex skill and it will trow a bomb that will explode in a small area and the highlight of it is that it after the explosions 3 hearts will drop and you and your allies can pick it up to get a heal, and this fits extremely well with the Flutter that is a skill that make you dash forward and make a trail that will buff alies speed and attack. This will be perfect within group attacks where you trow a bomb and dash forward oping space for your alies to attack, while cure themselves with the hearts drop!
And filly the Fields of Love your ultra, that you create a big circle with arrows on the ground dealing a good amount of damage.
How you could see the Cupid is very simple in the most of its gameplay and the main thing to practice is to stack enough hearts before using a skill. Each skill use up to 8 hearts and more hearts more buffs your skill will have, after practising that the rest should be easy to master!
Cupid is a central figure in Roman mythology, embodying the essence of love, desire, and attraction. Frequently portrayed as a youthful, winged figure, he carries a bow and a quiver full of arrows. These arrows are not ordinary; when Cupid shoots them, they induce love in the hearts of those they pierce. His Greek equivalent is known as Eros, sharing similar attributes and roles in mythology. Cupid's influence extends beyond mere romantic love, symbolizing the passionate and sometimes capricious nature of affection in human life. His stories often intertwine with those of other gods, illustrating the complexities and powers of love in myth.
