SMITE 2 Review (Excellent successor)
I had the opportunity to discover Smite 1 many years ago thanks to my friends and since then I have developed a love and liking for the game, it was the first MOBA which poor and after 850 hours I can give a review of the successor SMITE 2
Requirements
SMITE 2 is not a demanding game if we talk about requirements, an example of that is how I can play it with the following characteristics
CPU: I5-3570K
GPU: RX 570 4GB
Ram: 16 GB DDR3 dual channel
The storage is small since it only takes up 16GB, you can even have it on HDD
With my PC I can play on Medium without FSR at 60 FPS at 1080p, which shows how well optimized the game is and how you can play it without needing a PC with high-end components.
Gameplay
SMITE 2 is a third-person MOBA with a variety of maps and game modes that allows for a variation of different games each time you play even if it is the same mode thanks to the amount in constant increase of the number of characters, in this case gods to choose to play with them, each god has their role which are: Support, Solo, Middle, Jungle, Carry. The gods are subdivided into these roles during a game, but the fact that a god is a support does not mean that he cannot play another role, this is possible thanks to the great variety of items in the game with which you can create various builds for all the gods, this is thanks to the fact that the game allows creativity of builds
An example of this is the character of Ymir who is a Support, however thanks to her passive and certain items she can be in another role such as jungler or solo since she can do massive damage.
The gameplay is fluid, fun and addictive, the variety of game modes allows you to not get bored, since you can play really intense games as well as play relaxing ones and just for fun. Apart from this, each god is original in its own way and their unique abilities allow you to never get used to a way of playing.
Graphics
Graphically the game is beautiful and has excellent performance thanks to using UE 5, which allows good quality even at the minimum graphical settings that the game allows, Large maps with structures and a variety of jungle monsters alongside the gods and their abilities make every moment in the game a constant visual delight in the face of so many things
It has accessibility for color blindness in case of using it as well as many other settings which you can adapt to improve your game without harming the graphic quality at any time, It is very customizable
SMITE 1 vs SMITE 2
The improvements in the game are noticeable from the start, improvements that in every sense always represent a positive change with respect to the future.
- The graphical change and performance improvement are highly noteworthy.
- Changing the use of items by not limiting them and allowing any character to use any build was a good change.
- Much more constant updates than in Smite 1, with new gods, gameplay changes and fixes
- Changes to maps with monsters, jungle and some game modes that in my opinion give more fun
- Changes to the HUD, menu and interface which are a nice change
- Changes in gameplay and gods that allow fights to be more interesting and varied than before
Conclusion
SMITE 2 has proven to be a great successor to the previous game, proving that it can be much more in the future and thanks to the constant changes and support of the community it will undoubtedly achieve great things, A game which I recommend playing alone or in a group and which I will continue to play for a long time.
